The Laboratory for Biomolecular Discovery and Engineering is part of the Department of Biology at KU Leuven and the VIB-KU Leuven Center for Microbiology. KU Leuven, founded in 1425, is Belgium’s highest-ranked university as well as the most innovative university in Europe according to Reuters. Our lab houses state-of-the-art technologies and equipment for research at the interface between chemistry and biology. It is located in in the beautiful park of the 15th century Arenberg castle in Heverlee, near the city centre of Leuven.
